Mayo quartet make Cadbury's list

Mayo players Keith Higgins, Tom Parsons, Pearse Hanley and Aidan O'Shea have been selected among the players on the Best Fifteen Players on the Cadbury GAA Under 21 Football Championship from 2005-2010.
Mayo have the highest representation of any county in the awards with Cork next up with three awards.
Keith Higgins, of course, captained Mayo to Under 21 glory in 2006 and his consistent excellence at left-corner back that year earn him a spot among the fifteen. The following year Pearce Hanley was one of the key players who helped Mayo to retain the Connacht title. The Ballaghaderreen man, now playing Aussie Rules with Brisbane Lions, scored a hugely impressive nine points against Roscommon that year. Mayo eventually lost at the All-Ireland semi-final stage to Laois.
Tom Parsons featured that year and also had highly impressive campaigns in 2008 and 2009, captaining Mayo to their fourth Connacht title in a row against Sligo in '09. As a result the Charlestown man has a hugely impressive three Connacht titles to his name.
Aidan O'Shea featured prominently in 2009 and was also a key player for Mayo this year. However Mayo lost out to Roscommon in the Connacht semi-final. O'Shea is underage in 2011 as well.
At the beginning of this year's U21 championship, Cadbury asked GAA supporters from all across Ireland to vote for the best fifteen players at U21 grade from 2005-2010. Supporters were asked to log onto Cadbury's dedicated football website www.cadburygaau21.com where all of the Cadbury ‘Hero of the Match' winners from 2005 to 2010 are listed. The public also had the option to propose any player from outside this list as long as they had represented their county at U21 level between 2005 and 2010.
The voting closed the day of the Senior All-Ireland Final and the fifteen players with the highest amount of votes make up the ‘Cadbury 15'. With almost 1,500 votes cast for 92 players from across all of Ireland the competition for places was intense right up to the final whistle. Each of the provinces is represented with the players in the ‘Cadbury 15' spread across ten counties.

The Cadbury XV in full are: Brian Fox (Tipperary), Fintan Goold (Cork), Daniel Goulding (Cork), Pearce Hanley (Mayo), Keith Higgins (Mayo), Paul McComiskey (Down), Justin McMahon (Tyrone), Michael Murphy (Donegal), Rory O'Carroll (Dublin), David O'Gara (Roscommon), Colm O'Neill (Cork), Aidan O'Shea (Mayo), Tom Parsons (Mayo), Brendan Quigley (Laois), Killian Young (Kerry).
