PRESS RELEASE - TG4 GAA COVERAGE     2 November 2007

TG4s live coverage of the AIB Provincial Club Championships starts on Sunday next with live coverage from Semple Stadium of the AIB Munster Club Hurling Championship Quarter-Final between Tipperary champions Loughmore-Castleiney and Cork king-pins Erin’s Own.

All the AIB Club Provincial Hurling and Football Finals will be shown on TG4

- either live, deferred or highlights. Continuing with last year’s successful format, TG4’s Sunday afternoon schedule will provide full coverage of two matches from Sunday 18 November onwards – one live match and one deferred match broadcast immediately after the live match.

As well as the AIB Provincial Club Championship, TG4 will have a packed weekend at the end of November with the Underdogs Final match against the New York All-Stars being broadcast live from Gaelic Park in New York on Saturday 24 November at 7:15pm Irish time and a triple header including the VHI All-Ireland Ladies Football Club Championship Final on Sunday 25 November.

The channel will continue to provide further GAA coverage on the Monday night GAA 2007 programme with highlights from each weekend’s other top Club fixtures being included in the established peaktime slot of 8:30pm. Coverage will continue to be produced by Nemeton, the Waterford independent production company based in the Ring Gaeltacht, presented by Micheál Ó Domhnaill with commentary by Brian Tyers, Mac Dara Mac Donncha and Tomás Ó hAilín.
