Mayo under 17 manager Sean Deane will be more then delighted once their new county season starts in the new year with the addition of Matthew Flanagan as goalkeeper coach.

The Balla senior goalkeeper brings many of years of experience and knowledge to share with the U17 panel being a former All Ireland football Minor and Under 21 winner with Mayo GAA in 2013/2016

As well as goalkeeping for Mayo and Balla the 26-year-old lined out for Manulla on many occasions in the Mayo Super League being considered as one of the best goalkeepers in the League.

Manager Sean Deane will be looking to perfect his team even more next year after just falling short to Galway in the All Ireland Final earlier this year.

Matthew is the latest addition to the Sean Deane’s backroom team following the recent addition of Colm Boyle as Selector.

All at Mayo GAA wish Matthew the best of luck as he begins his new role.
